  • Abstract:
The document specifies requirements for the planning and implementation of concepts for direction-variable escape routing that support self-rescue to safe areas inside or outside building structures. For this purpose, the standard describes concepts in which different technical systems and products interact safely to identify and indicate usable escape and rescue routes in the event of danger. In the event of danger, the information transmitted by the corresponding systems is used to provide directional guidance on the escape and rescue routes. Concepts are presented with which the escape and rescue routes are uniquely indicated in a directionally variable manner from the detection of danger to the resetting of the overall system. This is conceptually a Dynamic Escape Route Guidance (DFWL). In addition, Annexx B shows continuously direction-variable concepts. This is Adaptive Escape Route Guidance (AFWL), which currently exists in rudimentary form and is expected to gain in importance in the future. This application standard relies on various technical systems and products that are conceptually linked to support safe self-rescue beyond their intended uses. The products used are generally specified in product standards and regulated in application standards. Directionally variable components are a prerequisite for dynamic or adaptive concepts. Project examples for a DFWL are given in Annex A and for an AFWL in Annex B.
