  • Abstract:
    This document specifies general hygienic requirements for the installation of beverage dispensing systems with the aim of preventive health protection of consumers. Additional special hygienic requirements for beverage dispensing systems are specified, for example, in the standards of the DIN 6650 and DIN 6653 series. The hygienic requirements for milk dispensers are specified in DIN 10541 and for devices for the production and dispensing of hot beverages in DIN EN 16889. Flow heaters (e. g. for mulled wine) are covered by the definition of beverage dispensing equipment according to DIN 6650-1.
