  • Abstract:
    This document specifies the concept of an intended series of standards to ensure the material-dependent and equipment-related image quality. It defines 3 levels of quality assurance: 1. Constancy test: Simple testing of the image generating system to maintain a given image quality. The test is performed by the user. 2. Status check. With this test method, the detection of error causes is possible without interfering with the equipment under test. The execution and evaluation requires special knowledge. 3. Acceptance test. The test includes measurements with mechanical and electrical interventions in the equipment. The performance and evaluation requires special knowledge of the technical design of the individual X-ray equipment. The basic idea of the standard is based on the recommendations of the WHO.
