  • Abstract:
    The contents of this supplement apply to the needs for visual comfort and visual performance; they do not apply to requirements for safety and health of employees at their work place. The contents of this supplement are addressed to designers. <Absatz>This supplement describes the general framework for the implementation of lighting concepts and lighting types for designers.<Absatz>The supplement supports the interpretation of DIN EN 12464-1:2011-08. It contains recommendations for designing lighting systems and explanations for the application of DIN EN 12464-1:2011-08 in Germany. This supplement does not contain any normative requirements in addition to those of DIN EN 12464-1:2011-08. Furthermore, this supplement provides designers with an aid for understanding the relation between DIN EN 12464-1 and the ASR A3.4, which is effective in Germany.
