Ergonomic standard
  • Abstract:
    This standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events, aslisted in Clause 4, which are relevant to bridge type machine: sawing, sawing andmilling, milling, included numerical control (NC/CNC) versions, designed to saw andmill natural stone and engineered stone (e. g. agglomerated stone) as defined by EN14618:2005, when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which arereasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).This standard specifies the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risksarising from the significant hazards. This European Standard deals with the hazards during transport, commissioning, use and maintenance, disassembly and destruction. This document also applies to machines fitted with: - additional equipment for undercut grooving and lathing; - mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or vacuum workpiece clamping; - automatic tool change facilities. This European Standard does not deal with: - machines intended for operation in a potentially explosive atmosphere; - operation in severe environmental conditions (e. g. extreme temperatures, corrosive environment); - supply by electrical networks with voltages, frequencies, tolerances etc. different from those of public suppliers; - machines intended for outdoor operation; This document is not applicable to machinery which are manufactured before the date of publication of this document by CEN.
