  • Abstract:
    This standard contains the German version of the first edition of the European EMC Generic Standard EN IEC 61000-6-8:2020 and is identical with the first edition of the International EMC Generic Standard IEC 61000-6-8 (July 2020). It specifies emission requirements in the frequency range 0 Hz to 400 GHz for professional electrical and electronic equipment intended for use in commercial and light-industrial environments for which no dedicated product or product family emission standard exists. Herefore disturbance limits for class A are specified for equipment which fall into the scope of this standard, whereby these limits are higher than the disturbance limits for class B that are specified in EN IEC 61000-6-3. On the other hand, equipment that utilise the limits given in EN IEC 61000-6-8 must be installed, used and maintained professionally. Moreover, this equipment shall not be used in residential locations.
