  • Abstract:
    This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 61643-351 and is identical with the International Standard IEC 61643-351. It describes performance requirements and test circuits and methods for surge isolation tranformers (SIT) which are used in communication or signalling networks and consist of an isolation transformer with or without an internal winding screen. The requirements and methods are concerned with the service and overvoltage conditions for surge isolation tranformers and serve for the verification of their essential electrical characteristics.
