  • Abstract:
This standard contains the German version of the European EMF Generic Standard EN 62311:2020 and is identical with the International EMF Generic Standard IEC 62311:2019. It contains requirements for the demonstration of the compliance with the basic restrictions or reference levels given for the safety of persons in electromagnetic fields in the frequency range 0 Hz to 300 GHz from electronic and electrical equipment for which no dedicated product or product family standard regarding human exposure to electromagnetic fields applies. The standard also contains specifications concerning the procedure for the assessment of the exposure and concerning the assessment uncertainty. In relation to the previous edition a clear distinction between unintentional and intentional radiators was introduced in the scope (clause 1). Furthermore, the specifications for the summation of fields from sources with several frequencies, which were contained in clause 8, were shifted into a new informative annex A and hereby information concerning the summation of non-sinusoidal fields was added. Finally, the former annexes A to G were deleted.
