  • Abstract:
    The DIN 18008 series of standards specifies rules for the design and construction of glass construction products. Part 6 deals with additional requirements for glazings that are accessed for maintenance purposes or are break-proof. The standard does not deal with aspects of health and safety in the workplace. Accessible glazing of this type can be supported linearly or point-fixed. The structural boundary conditions for linearly supported glazing stated in Part 2 of DIN 18008 and those for point-fixed glazing stated in Part 3 of DIN 18008 shall be taken into account.
