  • Abstract:
This standard is applicable for the calculation of the evacuation of buildings in hazardous situations. It is also applicable for the assessment of personal safety. Therefore mainly directed mass flow is taken into account. This standard specifies the procedures used for the determination of evacuation times and evaluation of jamming. Living zones, traffic routes and escape routes inside and outside buildings are assessed. The verification is scenario-based. Scenarios as defined by this standard are evacuation scenarios. This standard can also be applied on questions of personal safety that do not relate to buildings.
