  • Abstract:
This document specifies three methods for the determination of sulfide sulfur in waters and wastewaters with mass concentrations as of 0,04 mg/l.<Absatz> When applying the photometric procedure the sample has to be diluted with sulfide concentrations greater than 1,5 mg/l.<Absatz> Applying the electrochemical procedure much higher concentrations can be measured without dilution.<Absatz> By reducing the volume of the water sample, higher mass concentraions can be achieved with both detection methods.<Absatz> In case particle bound sulfides shall not be considered, filtration of the sample according to guidance given in Annex A (informative) has to be performed.
