  • Abstract:
    This document is intended for standard writers. The recommendations and indications given in this document are aimed at clarifying whether existing standards should be adapted to the impacts of climate change in the course of a revision or whether there is a need to develop new standards in order to control the negative impacts of climate change with the help of normative specifications. It explains the framework conditions resulting from climate change and the challenges of dealing with climate projections and shows how climate data should be handled. This document also provides assistance, including an example of use, in developing a methodological approach to perform a vulnerability analysis for a given standardization subject. It supports the development of approaches to modify a standard to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
