Data privacy declaration

This declaration provides you with information regarding the security of your personal data when you access this site, which is operated by the Commission for Occupational Health and Safety and Standardization and DIN Software GmbH. Personal data are all data by means of which you can be identified personally.

We take the privacy of your data very seriously. We therefore treat them in confidence and in accordance with the statutory data privacy regulations and this data privacy declaration. This data privacy declaration is currently valid and was last amended in May 2018.

Further development of our website or changes to the legislation or other requirements imposed by the authorities may require changes to be made to this data protection declaration. We therefore recommend that you re-read the declaration occasionally.

Access to the web pages and sending of messages

You can generally read the content of our website without having to provide personal data. You are free to decide whether you enter personal data.

Should you send us an e-mail or feedback message, we use your message and your e-mail address solely in order to correspond with you. We store the contact data you provide in these cases in order to process your enquiry, and delete them once the matter has been resolved. These data are not communicated to third parties without your consent. 

Calling up our web pages automatically results in the browser on your terminal device transmitting information to the server on which this website is hosted. This information is stored temporarily in a "log file". The following information is recorded automatically without any action on your part and is stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • Website from which the access occurred (referrer URL)
  • Browser used; possibly also the operating system of your computer and the name of your Internet service provider

These data are processed by us for the following purposes:

The statutory basis for data processing is Article 6 (1) f of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is derived from the purposes of data recording listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the recorded data in order to draw conclusions with respect to your person.

Disclosure of personal data to third parties

As a rule, we use your personal information only within KAN itself. We do not pass your data on to third parties without your explicit consent.

Where we are obliged to do so by statutory provisions or in response to a court order, we pass your data to bodies authorized to have access to it. We cannot accept any liability for abuse of your data by third parties.

Duration for which personal data are stored

The length of time for which personal data may be stored is the relevant statutory retention period. The data concerned are routinely deleted at the end of this period, unless they continue to be required for the negotiation or completion of contracts.

Newsletter

Should you wish to subscribe to the NoRA ticker newsletter offered on this website, you must provide us with a name. The provision of any other information is voluntary. We use these data solely in order to deliver the NoRA ticker. We do not pass your data to third parties, nor do we use them for other purposes ourselves. The registration system with the additional confirmation message containing a link by which registration is completed ensures that you receive the NoRA ticker only if you have explicitly requested it. You may revoke your consent to our storing your e-mail address and to its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example by means of the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.
