Accessibility declaration

KAN seeks to make its website accessible in accordance with the legal provisions implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies of the European Parliament and Council.

This declaration of accessibility as of 1 September 2020 applies to the website nora.kan-praxis.de.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

In Germany, accessibility requirements result from §§ 3 para. 1 to 4 and from § 4 of the German Ordinance on the accessibility of information technology (BITV) 2.0, which was issued with reference to § 12d of the German Disabilities act (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz BGG).

The verification of compliance with these requirements is based on a self-assessment conducted in April 2020.

Aufgrund der Überprüfung ist die Internetseite mit den zuvor genannten Anforderungen nicht barrierefrei. Deshalb wird diese Internetseite derzeit überarbeitet und in Kürze relauncht. The self-assessment revealed that at present, the website is only partially compatible with the aforementioned requirements. The website is currently being reviewed and will be relaunched shortly.

Conciliation procedure

The German Federal Government Commissioner responsible for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities can call upon an arbitration board according to § 16 of the German Disabilities act (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz BGG). The arbitration board has the task of resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and German public federal agencies.

You are invited to contact the conciliation office if you are not satisfied with the answers from the above-mentioned contact option.

The conciliation procedure is free of charge. You will not need legal assistance.

You will find all information on the conciliation procedure on the website of the arbitration board. There you can read about how a conciliation procedure works and how to submit a request for conciliation. You can also submit the request in Leichte Sprache (German simplified language) or in German sign language.

You may contact the arbitration board at the following address:
